Moto3: Joan Mir won the Catalunya Grand Prix of Moto3, leading a master race that allowed him to take home the fourth season's win, confirming him again as the most credited contender for the title. Mir has remained in the lead for the whole race, but has never played stubbornly for the first place, which was more of a question between Romano Fenati and Jorge Martin. Mir waited for the second part of the last lap to place a stack without a right of reply and take the first position he no longer left up to the checkered flag.
Fenati tried to resist him in the last bends but he did not have to do more, while Martin, who had started his last lap in the lead, eventually found himself third.
Now Joan is in the lead with 133 points and a 45 point advantage over Fenati.
