Double Victory and close to top ten #AustralianGP

Moto3: Fantastic end of a chaotic race.
This weekend the Motogp main competitions were held in the Australian Circuit of Phillip Island, one of the most beautiful tracks in the world.
The Angel Nieto Team rider Albert Arenas started from the 11th position and was able to stay with the leading group of more than ten riders for the whole race. Lap by lap he fought to reach the podium positions and avoiding contacts and crashes he won his second race of the season. Very good race also for his teammate Andrea Migno who started 27th,recovered more than ten places and gained points finishing 13th.
Top ten result also for the Monlau Competicion rider Aron Canet who started from the 10th position and was one of the contenders for the victory. The Spanish rider after reaching the first place, tried to build a little gap but because of such a long straight typical of this circuit it was impossible fro him to run away. At the end of the race Canet finished 6th, just few tenth off the podium. His teammate Alonso Lopez returned to a positive result after some complicated races, finishing 11th.
Close to the podium also The Leopard Racing rider Enea Bastianini who finished in the 8th place.
Now the Moto3 Championship standing sees Albert Arenas 9th, Aron Canet 6th, Lorenzo Dalla Porta 5th and Enea Bastianini 4th, -65 points from the leader Jorge Martin.
Moto2: First place and top five.
Fantastic race for the RedBull KTM Ajo rider Brad Binder who started 5th and was one of the protagonist of the Moto2 race. Binder stayed on the podium positions for the whole race and tried to break the group after he reached the leading position. With 13 laps to go it had no chance to do that and so slowed down his pace and returned with the group to save tyres and study his rivals. At 2 laps to go he gave all he had and built a little gap that allowed him to win his third race of the 2018 season. For his teammate Miguel Oliveira this weekend was one of the hardest of the season. Considering the result of last year the expectations were very high but Miguel never felt comfortable on the bike. After a difficult QP in the race he recovered nine positions and finished 11th, but despite this result the championship is still reachable.
Amazing race also for the Pons Racing rider Augusto Fernandez who started 13th and overtook few riders thanks to a perfect start. Fernandez after reaching the top five, started the fight for the podium and at the end he finished 4th, the best result of his career. Unluckily his teammate Lorenzo Baldassarri made a mistake when he was 3rd and crashed.
Tricky race for the Italtrans Racing rider Mattia Pasini who stated from the pole position and was forced to a premature end because of a crash in the second lap.
Now the Moto2 Championship standing sees Lorenzo Baldassarri 4th, Brad Binder 3rd, -95 points and Miguel Oliveira 2nd at just 36 points from the leader Francesco Bagnaia.
MotoGP: Abraham scores best result of the 2018 season.
Really positive weekend for the Angel Nieto Team rider Karel Abraham who had the opportunity to ride the Ducati GP17 in this Australian weekend. After just four turns of practice sessions the Czech rider was able to equal his best qualifying of the season finishing 13th and missed the Q2 for just 0.007 seconds. In the race Karel was able to push a lot in the first laps and earned two positions. After that the bike started to slide and pump and he managed the situation finishing 11th, getting the best placement of the season.
His teammate Mike Jones, who replaced Alvaro Bautista had to learn a lot because it was the first time he rode a MotoGP. In the race, starting 23rd, he gave all he had and exploited at his best this opportunity, finishing the race 18th.
The next round will take place in the Malaysian Circuit of Sepang on the 4th of November.
